Hope Holiday Schedule
On December 23 & 24, we’ll be celebrating Christmas Eve at Hope! To view service times and reserve a ticket, visit hopecentral.com/christmas. Please note there will be no 5pm service on 12/31.

Please note that Hope will have limited operating office hours during the holidays. If you need to make a donation, please mail it to Hope Church, 12445 Patterson Ave., Richmond, 23238.

All-In 90 Day Bible Reading Challenge
Read along with us in 2018! Beginning January 1, we’re inviting all of Hope to join in reading through the Bible in 90 days. There are three ways to participate in this challenge: 1. Use your own Bible, 2. Use the Hope mobile app, or 3. Get the 90 Day Bible, available at the Connect Desk, which is specially formatted for each day’s reading.

Text the word BIBLE to 66866 to receive an encouraging email each week of the reading plan. We’ll also offer additional resources to encourage you and keep you on track throughout the challenge.

Hope For the Week is Changing – Stay “In the Know!”
Hope is on the move and we want you to stay “in the know” about things that are happening and how you can be involved. We are in the process of updating the way we communicate with you. Hope for the Week will still be the best way to stay informed about what’s happening in our community, but we’re changing the way it will be distributed each week. Beginning next week, we will not use The City to distribute Hope for the Week, so please visit our website, or sign up to receive our new weekly email.

Congregational Vote
On Sunday, December 31, 2017, all members are invited to vote to approve new elders to serve a three year term. More information on the candidates provided in the coming weeks through Hope for the Week and in the worship guide.

Lodge Services
In an effort to reach as many people as possible, we are offering a new Sunday service in the Lodge on our West Creek campus! Services will officially launch on January 7th and take place at 11am, simultaneous with the11am service in the main building. Childcare will be offered in the main building.

If volunteering once a month in the Lodge service sounds fun to you, please take a moment to fill out this form. We’ll be training volunteers this Sunday, December 17, at 10am in the Lodge. Come be a part of the team!

And… Soft Launch for Lodge Services
So by now you know we’ll be launching a Sunday service in the Lodge on our West Creek campus starting January 7! To prepare, we’ll hold test services this Sunday, December 17 at 11am. We’ll be testing out equipment and ironing out logistics, but if you are interested in serving in the Lodge or attending that service with your family, we welcome you to join us!

Connect Desk Resources
To make room for 2018 resources, we are offering several discounted items at the connect desk. Stop by after the service this Sunday to check it out!

Discover Hope
This two-day class is a great first step at Hope. It is designed to help people learn about what it means to have a relationship with Christ and what it means to be a member of Hope. We also teach about our mission, vision and values and share about specific ways you can get more involved. The next session is January 19 & 20. Register here.

Chapters for Young Adults
The Christmas Party is on Tuesday, Dec. 19th at 7pm at the Midtown Offices. We are asking folks to bring a gift under $10 for a gift exchange. RSVP and additionals details can be found on the Hope Young Adults Facebook page

In January, Chapters will meet on four consecutive Tuesdays beginning January 9. Join us!

Core 4 Classes
In 2018, we are offering foundational classes to grow your faith. Each January and July, we will offer four-week classes taught by pastors in these core areas: Gospel, Bible, Mission and Soul Care. Choose one class each term – we recommend you eventually take them all (in any order) as a solid foundation for your journey. Register here.

This is to update church records and to assist with year-end financial statement mailings, which are required by law. Also, if you are making contributions to Hope Places, please note it in the memo line of your check. If you would like to make stock donations, contact Melinda Lestyan. Finally, all year-end giving MUST be postmarked by 12/31. This year, 12/31 is on a Sunday and the office will be closed that day.

In this section we announce significant life events that occur within our Hope community. If you are celebrating the birth of a child or a marriage, or have experienced the death of an immediate family member, please contact the Hope office at 804-708-5330.

I had the same problem as Flo.  I tried hitting the <Enter> key to force a post.  It gives you an error saying that you are already signed up for the 90 day Bible reading email.

Hi Flo and Pete!

So sorry that you had trouble signing up! I believe we’ve resolved the issue. Try signing up on this link, and email me at pdaniels@hopecentral.com if you have further issues!

HOPE Church

Offering experiences, relationships and places where people can find life and purpose through Jesus Christ. From the beginning, Hope has been trying to help people who don’t know God, have every opportunity to do so. It’s part of our DNA. Since we believe a church is people and not a building, this means our mission can happen every day and all over the place – as Hope people go to work or school, and spend time with family, friends and colleagues. This means that we could offer experiences anywhere we find ourselves – a ball game, an evening out for dinner with a friend, a neighborhood cookout – you get the picture. It means that many places can become places where we seek to help people find life, God-life, the real thing. And we know that this often happens though sincere relationships and friendships.
